The surprises just keep coming...
Not only was 2.70 made available to the North America PSP Owners via Network
Update, but you can also download Loco Roco, and play the first downloadable PSP
game...ok, it's in Japanese and only a demo...but, free is free!
Once you have 2.70 installed, head over to the Japanese Playstation site to
learn more about Loco Roco...you will need your favorite translation web tool if
you're not up on Japanese.
Or you can go straight to the download page
here. ...tip, look for the "Download" button once there.
Important note: You have to put the EBOOT.PSP file in a
folder called UCJS10041 under /PSP/GAMES on your Memory Stick...make sure you
use all UPPER CASE letters.
A note on game play: The L and R shoulder buttons are your
friends!!!
Content for the next firmware update announced
NOTE: 2.7 has just shown up via Network Update on North America PSP...9:10pm PDT
The PSP Update page on the Sony Japanese website states that 2.70 will be
available at 14:00 on the 25th of April(+9 GMT)...that's 1am EDT, and 10pm (on the 24th)
PDT. The contents of the update are listed as (Descriptions are based on a
loose translation of Japanese):
